8th Utica Blue Sox Baseball All-Skills Clinic
Who: Youth ages 9-12
What: A Baseball Clinic at Murnane Field in Utica where youth ages 9-12 can participate in sharpening/improving their baseball skills. This years’ clinic is presented by our hometown 2025 Utica Blue Sox Players and Coaches. Equipment needed for participation includes a baseball glove, bat, and batting helmet.
Where: Murnane Field in Utica

Why: For Oneida County Youth to have the opportunity to participate in a fun learning environment with the 2025 Utica Blue Sox Players and Coaching Staff.

15th Annual Sidewalk Art Contest
Who: Youth ages 5-18 Age categories: 5-7, 8-10, 11-13, and 14-18
What: A Sidewalk Art Contest where youth in the above-mentioned age categories will have thirty minutes to draw a positive image on a sidewalk slab.
Where: Pratt Munson William Proctor Institute School of Art Campus (MWPI) at Palmer Park in Utica.
When: The contest is scheduled for Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. The rain date is scheduled for Friday, July 18th. Contestants should arrive at 9:30 a.m. The contest will conclude at 11:00 a.m. Judging and medals will take place between 11:00-11:15 a.m.
Why: For Oneida County Youth to showcase their talents!

Youth Fun and Fitness Run
Who: Ages 4-13 Age Categories: 4-6 (1/4 mile), 7-8 (1/2 mile), 9-10 (3/4 mile), 11-13 (1 mile)
What: A youth fun and fitness run where participants race on the grounds of the Mohawk Valley Community College's outdoor track.
Where: Mohawk Valley Community College, 1101 Sherman Drive, Utica.
When: Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. To Pre-Register for this event call (315) 798-5027 or on-line at: www.oneidacountyny.gov/departments/youth-bureau/ Registration for this event begins at 9 a.m. The first race begins at 10 a.m. followed by all other age groups competitive run. The event will conclude by 12 p.m. Youth and their families will take advantage of educational presentations before and after their run(s).
Why: To promote health and wellness to youth in Oneida County.
