WESTMORELAND, N.Y.- On Thursday, November 21 our Superintendent, Rocco Migliori, was recognized for his years of service and excellence in education.
The Genesis Group and First Source Federal Credit Union held their 18th annual Celebration of Education dinner at Hart’s Hill Inn. Mr. Migliori was one of five educators who were inducted into the Education Hall of Distinction. Inductees are selected based on the impact they make among young people and their contributions to the lives of students and the community as a whole.
Mr. Migliori began his career in education 38 years ago as a science teacher at Rome Catholic. He then moved up in rank to become the Rome Catholic High School Assistant Principal. From 1995-1999 he was the Assistant Principal at Rome Free Academy. In 1999, he made his way over to Westmoreland Central School District serving as the Principal of our Jr./Sr. High School! He was appointed Superintendent in 2008. Since then, he’s accomplished so much that help keep our students and staff safe and enhance learning. Every day he walks through these doors with a mission to make this school district better for everyone.
Please join us in congratulating our amazing Superintendent! We are so lucky to have such a supportive and caring leader!
