A number of Upper Elementary School students were allowed to take a break from class for a bit of fun outside.

But, they had to earn it.  Boys playing cornhole

On April 11, a select, but very large group of third, fourth, fifth and sixth grade students received an invitation to “Game Day,” held outside on the playground and under the pavilion. The fun event featured a variety of games including “KanJam,” “Nok-Hockey,” cornhole, ladder ball, basketball, flag football and board games. In order to have received an invitation, students were required to have consistently followed the Upper Elementary School’s rules, “The Bulldog Four.” The rules are:

-I will be responsible.
-I will give my best effort.
-I will be respectful and kind.
-I will be safe.

Teachers determined which students qualified for “Game Day.” A similar incentive was held in December, when qualifying students were treated to the movie, “The Grinch,” and popcorn in the Jr./Sr. High School Auditorium.
