Each month, a qualifying junior is named Westmoreland Kiwanis Student of the Month. Award winners are selected by faculty and staff based on the following criteria:
· Minimum average of 80;
· Good citizenship and character; and
· Active participation in school and community activities.
The Westmoreland Kiwanis Student of the Month for the month of March is Jordan Carroll, daughter of Leslie and William Carroll.
Jordan is a member of the National Honor Society, Varsity Tennis team and Varsity Basketball team. She has also worked for the Bulldog Bookstore, located in the Jr./Sr. High School.
After graduating from Westmoreland Jr./Sr. High School, Jordan plans to attend a four-year college to major in Business Management.

Kiwanis of Westmoreland is a local branch of Kiwanis International. The mission of the nonprofit service organization is to “empower communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children.” Local clubs look out for our communities and the international organization takes on large-scale challenges, such as fighting disease and poverty.
