Members of the Westmoreland Jr./Sr. High School Student Council participated in the Utica/Rome “Walk to End Alzheimer’s” on April 28 at SUNY Polytechnic Institute in Utica.
The walk is one of more than 600 held annually across the country to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research. This year’s Utica/Rome walk featured 43 teams and more than 300 participants - - the most in its history.
The Jr./Sr. High School Student Council’s team started raising funds for the cause in March, and collected and donated $600. Students walked with Mr. Pilat and Mr. Darrah, Student Council co-advisors.
Thank you to everyone who donated!
