Today our school district wore mismatched socks and dressed in blue and yellow to raise awareness of Down syndrome! Individuals with this condition have an extra chromosome. About 1 in every 800 babies are born with Down syndrome.

Our high school students got a little taste of the real world today! Justin Firsching, a software engineer with Microsoft, spoke with our students. He detailed what he does in his career on a daily basis! We also asked our School Resource Officer, Deputy Keith Sack, to speak with our students interested in criminal justice about what he does everyday. Thank you Justin and Keith!

On this International Women's Day we would like to recognize some of our students who attended the Women in STEAM symposium at the Beeches in Rome yesterday! The event, hosted by The Project Fibonacci Foundation, invited students to explore science, technology, engineering, math and the arts! Thank you to Mrs. Ballie, Mrs. Cittadino and Mrs. Davis for taking our students! We have some very empowering women in this school district!

MARY POPPINS: Our students have been hard at work since December to bring you Mary Poppins the musical! You'll see singing, tap dancing on the ceiling and beautiful costumes! You won't want to miss this! The shows are tomorrow (March 8) and Saturday (March 9) at the Stanley Theatre at 7:00 p.m. You can purchase tickets by clicking on the link.
