🎉 Upper Elementary Fun Night – Final One of the Year! 🎉

The Upper Elementary School is hosting its final Fun Night of the year! Organized by the Student Council, this event is open to all students in grades 3–6.

Students can enjoy an evening full of games and activities! 🎯🎶

🍿 Food and snacks will be available for purchase

All money raised will help support future UES events such as field trips and other student activities.

The ACE Club was originally scheduled to go cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in January, but the trip was postponed due to extremely cold weather.

The rescheduled trip will take place this Wednesday, February 25th. Students will be dismissed from class around 8:15 AM and are expected to return by 2:00 PM.

Our Kindergarten students will celebrate the 100th Day of School on Tuesday, February 24th with a variety of fun activities centered around the number 100.

Students are asked to decorate a plain white t-shirt with 100 lightweight items and wear it to school that day. The celebration will include a special fashion show where students will model their shirts while teachers read descriptions of their creative designs.

We look forward to a fun-filled day celebrating 100 days of learning!

ACE Club is hosting a tubing event at Woods Valley Ski Area this Friday!

🗓 Friday, February 27
⏰ 4:30–6:30 PM
🎟 $20 per person (includes two hours of tubing and hot chocolate!)

We’ve rented the entire tubing area just for our group during those two hours! We still have a limited number of tickets available if anyone would like to join us.

Tubing is open to all ages; however, younger children must be able to get into and out of the tube independently. Each person will need their own ticket and will use their own tube.

This price is less than you would pay if you went on your own 😉

If you’d like to purchase tickets, please let me know! I can accept cash or a check made out to Westmoreland ACE Club.

The weather is looking great in Westernville on Friday, so grab your snow pants, jackets, boots, and come have some fun with us! ❄️

Students in grades 7 and 8 who are eligible to apply for the National Junior Honor Society will receive applications tomorrow and Thursday. As part of the application process, students are expected to request at least two letters of recommendation from adults. This requirement is intended as a formality and an opportunity for students to gain experience in asking for letters of recommendation.

If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. DeCarolis. All recommendation letters are due by February 26.

Join us for a Texas Roadhouse Fundraising Night on Wednesday, February 4, from 4:00–10:00 PM at Texas Roadhouse New Hartford.

Dine in or order takeout, and a percentage of your total food purchase will be donated to support Westmoreland Winterguard.

🎶 COMMUNITY EVENT 🎶
A Children’s Performance featuring 2 Friends Music will take place on Saturday, February 14 at 2:00 PM at the Westmoreland United Methodist Church.

🚪 Doors open at 1:30 PM, with warm cocoa, coffee, and other goodies available before the show.

🎟️ Admission: $2
All proceeds will benefit the KEYS Program, an outreach supporting children battling cancer and their siblings in Sherrill, NY.

❄️ Weather Note:
If postponed due to weather, the performance will be held at the same time on Saturday, February 21.

3rd & 4th Grade Fun Night

Third and fourth grade students are invited to attend Fun Night at the Upper Elementary on Friday, January 23, from 6:00–7:30 PM.

Students will enjoy a variety of fun games and activities taking place in both the gymnasium and the cafeteria. This event is a great opportunity for students to spend time with friends and enjoy a fun evening at school.

We look forward to seeing our 3rd and 4th graders there!

Westmoreland Winterguard 2026 Community Show

The Westmoreland Winterguard proudly invites families, students, and community members to our 2026 Community Show on Saturday, February 21, in the Upper Elementary Gym.

Event Schedule

Doors Open: 12:45 PM

Showtime: 1:30 PM

Admission is free, so bring the whole family and help us celebrate our talented performers! The afternoon will feature performances by our Varsity and JV Winterguard squads, along with senior recognition. Guests can also enjoy a 50/50 raffle, basket raffles, and a bake sale during the event.

Community members are encouraged to come early for the C&B Drive, running from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. In addition, Brooks BBQ pre-sale tickets will be available on 2/27.

We hope you’ll join us for an exciting afternoon showcasing the dedication and hard work of our Winterguard students.

During January and February, third grade will be focusing on wildlife conservation. As part of this learning experience, students will be adopting an animal in need of help.

To support this project, we will be collecting donations from January 12 through February 12. Both the Primary and Upper Elementary Schools will be participating.
